Wow we sure got lucky with whales in Howe Sound! After crossing the strait of Georgia, we were fortunate enough to find transient (Bigg's) orcas from FOUR different families, including T87, the T124s, the T124As, and the T90s!

The return of the orca! Although we love our humpbacks it was exciting to get a break from it and see the return of the Transient Orca into our range. A group of 8 whales, the T36As and T36s, gave us a good show.

Friday we were lucky enough to find two active humpbacks in the morning and two more groups in the afternoon. Thats a total of 4 different humpbacks just outside of Nanaimo!

We are SO lucky out here in Nanaimo with all the amazing sightings we've had over the last few days. Around every corner we are finding humpback whales ready to excite our guests on board the zodiacs.

Another amazing day spent watching whales in the Strait of Georgia! The pod today, the T18’s, is very special because it contains some of the largest orca found in the Salish Sea!
