On August 22nd, we found a whole bunch of humpbacks including Orion, Dalmatian, Europa and her calf along with two unknowns.

The morning’s tour encountered transient orca and humpback whale, Windy.
In the afternoon our boats went out searching for the T77 siblings that we had in the morning, but they must have traveled fast after we left them as we weren’t able to find them again. Instead we found 4 humpbacks during our search!

On this morning trip we found the Bachelor Trio, Jude (T49A2), Neftali (T77C) and Alcyon (T77D), traveling North through the beautiful Fjords of Howe Sound. On the way home we found humpback whales as well!
In the afternoon our boats headed out with hopes of requiring the Trio from the morning. Instead they found a new pod of whales, the T46’s. We had found the T46’s the night before as they traveled through Dodd’s Narrows before heading past Snake island and out into the Strait of Georgia. After leaving the T46’s traveling along the Sunshine Coast our boats came across 4 humpbacks in 3 different groups.

For both morning and afternoon tours on the 18th we ventured across the Strait of Georgia to Howe Sound. The Bachelor Trio was spotted early in the morning heading into the Sound from Vancouver’s harbour.

On our Aug 17th tour we found our favorite humpback duo, Slate and her son Marble hanging out in their usual spot near Porlier pass. In the afternoon, we found orcas near Dodd’s Narrows who we identified as the T46’s.

It was humpback soup out there when we found Slate, Marble, Orion, ocular, and one unknown! It was great to watch these whales having fun out in the Strait of Georgia!
