July 18th - T36's by Anvil Island

In the morning, we got a report that a pod of 5 transient killer whales were seen north of Gambier Island, so we set out to go see them! We found them near Anvil Island, where they were travelling and hunting! The pod consists of Flapjack’s (T36) daughter Tattertip (T36B) and grandchildren, who are Bhotia (T36B1), Greenfelder (T36B2) and T36B3, who hasn’t been named yet. Tattertip had T36B3 in 2018, so he is just 1 year old!

We set out to see them again in the afternoon, by then they had travelled even further north in Howe Sound. We found them at thievery top of the sound near Squamish where they finally turned around and started heading south again.
